Did you know that Shopsafe.co.uk lists over 4000 shops, which is more than the Metro Centre, Bluewater and the Trafford Centre put together!

The Metro Centre has 340 shops, The Bluewater shopping centre has 330 and the Trafford Centre has 280. Added together that's a measly 950, compared to the 4000 listed on Shopsafe.co.uk.

So why bother going to out of town shopping centres when Shopsafe.co.uk has got more shops, more offers and better parking!

And when you think about it, the Metro Centre is 1.8 million square feet, Bluewater is 1.6 million square feet and the Trafford Centre is 1.4 million square feet.

That means if Shopsafe.co.uk was a shopping centre it would take up almost 20 million square feet of space! And all available at your fingertips...

There's another scare story doing the rounds, this time an email that claims that you can get Swine Flu from tins of Pork Luncheon Meat.

Ignore it. It's just spam...

Google trends is a fantastic tool - it can show you how popular specific searches are at certain times.

We wondered how people were coping with the heatwave, and what they were looking for to keep cool, and we found that searches for "paddling pools" and "air conditioners" were very popular as the weather got hotter. But neither were as popular as searches for "shopping online" or "voucher codes".

Proof that us Brits like to stay cool by saving money? Maybe not, but it shows that saving money is something we can do all year round.
